Knullige nieuwsbrief Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal.

Een nieuwsbrief is toch een visitekaartje op internet, nietwaar? Hieronder een kopie van een deel van de nieuwsbrief ‘attendering apestaartje tweedekamer.nl’ van de Tweede Kamer d.d. 26.02.2012. Ontvangen om 19.03. De nieuwsbrief vermeldt ‘T01.30’ (??)

Ter vergelijking: de collega’s in Berlijn. Twee à drie keer per dag. Deze nieuwsbrief nr. 099 in 2013 ontvangen op 26.02.2013 om 15.15. Sluitingstijd redaktie 15.00.

Opvallend verschil naast de knullige layout van de Nederlandse nieuwsbrief en het ingewikkelde taalgebruik:  in de Duitse Nieuwsbrief worden nimmer namen van parlementsleden vermeld. Uitsluitend namens welke fractie parlementsleden bijvoorbeeld vragen hebben gesteld in de Bondsdag.

Als professionele organisatie, waarmee loyale medewerkers zich associëren en beiden klanten, relaties en nieuwsgierige bezoekers serieus nemen, moet zo’n visitekaartje toch een gruwel voor het oog zijn?

P.S. De teller van de nieuwsbrieven van de Bundestag op 28 maart 2013 staat inmiddels op 184. Kortom, 85 keurig verzorgde nieuwsbrieven in  30 dagen met direkte links naar documenten over antwoorden, vragen, verslagen van hoorzittingen, etc.

D66 en PvdA blunderen. Wordt ‘Singelgracht’ onbedoeld ‘Gorillagracht’?

‘Wonen op het Singel met uitzicht op de Koningsgracht.’ Of ‘Wonen in de Koningsgracht met uitzicht op het Singel.’ Menig makelaar likt zijn vingers daarbij af. Slechts de bloemendekschuiten krijgen een adreswijziging op hun dak.

Kennelijk niet gehinderd door Amsterdamse volkshistorie, lanceert Rick ten Have van D66 een voorstel om uitsluitend de Singelgracht zelf om te dopen tot ‘Koningsgracht‘ als ‘gratis’ cadeau ter ere van de kroning van ZKH Prins der Nederlanden Willem Alexander tot Koning Willem Alexander, uitgerekend afgestudeerd op geschiedenis. Let wel, tijden zijn veranderd, niet als Koning Willem IV. Welwillend PvdA Burgemeester Eberhard van der Laan van Amsterdam laat dit onderzoeken door de straatnamencommissie, berichten de media.

De laatste mannelijke Koning, Willem III, had evenwel de omstreden bijnaam Koning Gorilla, bedacht  door de socialist Ferdinand Domela Nieuwenhuis, hetgeen hem in 1887 op een half jaar gevangenisstraf wegens majessteitsschennis kwam te staan. Dat de benaming ‘Singel’ en ‘Koningsgracht’ werden omgezet naargelang Frankrijk en Nederland in een ver verleden wél of géén vriendjes waren, ligt nog voor de hand. Maar nu uitsluitend de voormalige gracht zelf, een voormalig verdedigingskanaal aan het Singel, omdopen tot ‘Koningsgracht’?

Zoals het J.B. van Heutsz Monument door Amsterdammers is omgedoopt tot ’Mien met de twee hondjes‘, krijgt Amsterdam nu in de volksmond onbedoeld een ‘Gorillagracht’ erbij?

Kortom, een slecht en ondoordacht voorstel dat te voorbarig is gelanceerd. Of is met een knipoog naar het verleden, weldoordacht een serieuze grap gelanceerd? Met D66 blijft men tenslotte wel vaker in het ongewisse omtrent het Koningshuis.

The question is whether the €Uropean Union can be considered a trustworthy and reliable institution, if a 76-year-old charlatan (Newsweek) again re-enters wherever he can and will become a pain in the neck in the entire €Uropean Union’s political spectrum. Even from a simple seat in the Italian Parliament he will be able to frustrate an European Union, already bearing the stigma of launching a disputed monetary system.

If this is the so-called New European motto,  ‘Unity in Diversity’, allowing Berlusconi to make a laugh and a chutzpah of  anything which the European Union and the euro system pretend to stand for, how much for the credibility, stability and trustworthiness of the European Union and the Euro system? How many years will be  lost again of frustrating political haggling and dealing? Years, where the ECB has to play the role of a monetary policeman to ensure peace in the eurozone and in the EU.

Given the ‘European elections’ in 2014,  how much is ‘2013 Year of the European Citizen’ still worth apart from the billions and billions of debts falling due in the upcoming years?

De overlevingsstrategie van dinosauriërs TINA en TINE

Istmus, Kanaal van Korinthië. Vroeger, veel vroeger een overtoom waar werd gelift.

Even volkomen genoeg van het Thatcheriaanse ‘There Is No  Alternative’ of ‘There Is No Escape’ corset, dat met veel dogmatische retoriek wordt aangemeten tijdens opeenvolgende slecht nieuws orgie’s?

Met een schuine blik op alle onopgeloste crises sinds 2008 en op ‘2013 – Jaar van de Europese Burger’, kan als alternatief nog gevlucht worden in andere ‘-ismen‘, in plaats van blijven hangen in het het pessimistisch makende crisisisme. Bedenk daarbij ook dat alle mensen in zekere zin dinosauriërs zijn.

De recente meteoriet 2012DA14, die rakelings langs de aarde scheerde, werd pas afgelopen jaar ontdekt omdat hij eenvoudigweg te klein is om vroegtijdig gesignaleerd te worden. Tegelijkertijd sloeg totaal onverwacht een ruimtecowboy in de Oeral toe.
Statistisch is de kans op een helse bom uit het heelal 1:1200. En reeds raast 2007VK184 op de aarde af met een kans van 1:1820 dat deze op 3 juni 2048 inslaat.

Bovendien, hoe groot is ondertussen de kans, dat cowboys op aarde eerder toeslaan? In beide opties, één klein kosmetisch duwtje en het gaat de foute kant op.

Of de goede kant op. Dan is het in 2048 de moeite waard geweest om de klimaatcrisis te bezweren, de euro te stabiliseren, de schuldenrem hard aan te trekken, prijzen uit te reiken, verkiezingscampagnes te houden, herdenken en feest te vieren, dictators van hun troon te stoten en van alles wat dies meer zij. Bijvoorbeeld lasagna ontdoen van paardenvlees.

Maar 2012DA14 en deze kleine meteoriet herinneren ons tevens eraan, dat op aarde geen enkele formule bestaat waarmee rotsvast vertrouwen in de toekomst kan worden gerealiseerd. Tot die tijd blijven we met z’n allen ook dinosauriërs. Druk bezig om de juiste overlevingsstrategie uit te vogelen:

Rutte deelnemer in ‘bedriegers manoeuvre’?

Op papier is € 960 miljard voor het meerjarenbudget van de Europese Unie overeen gekomen. Echter door de lidstaten is slechts € 908.4 miljard toegezegd om tegemoet te komen aan de wensen Engeland.

De doorgaans goed ingelichte, invloedrijke Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung kopt in dit artikel  „Einigung ist ein unglaubliches Täuschungsmanöver“.

Voor de goede orde:  ‘Täuschung’ is ‘bedrog’. Een zware beschuldiging, harde woorden door, nogmaals, een veelal goed geïnformeerd en invloedrijk dagblad, dat niet over één nacht ijs gaat alvorens in deze termen tot publikatie over te gaan.

Een synoniem in het Duits voor ‘Täuschung’ is ‘belügen’. Een ander gangbaar, ‘volks’ synoniem dat wordt aangegeven in een Duits woordenboek begint met een ‘v’, heeft een ‘a’ in het woord en eindigt op een ‘n’. De volledige omschrijving overschrijdt echter normale normen van fatsoen.

Of vertelt Minister President Mark Rutte simpelweg slechts een deel van hetgene dat is overeengekomen?

France played in the past a significant role in trying to force the ECB into a political tool. Now French President Hollande does it again by suggesting to introduce ‘flexible’ exchange rates for the Euro. In fact Hollande pledged in the European Parliament for more Euro’s from the printing presses of the ECB for ‘Euro-land growth’. More Euro’s to counterfight the economic consequences of a high euro exchange rate, mainly caused by a deflated Japanese Yen and uncertainty about the American economy and the possible consequences of the Fiscal Cliff.

Hollande’s pledge implied also subjecting EUro-land to additional inflation, sparkling valuta speculations, effecting devaluation of saving accounts, decreased buying power and a range of increasing economic and social costs. Hawkish opponents sometimes naming inflation ‘legalized robbery’. The most welcome side effect for politicians a gradual devaluation of public debts. Not to speak over a possible new mandate for the ECB.

More freshly printed Euro’s to ease increasing pressure on noncompetitive EUro-land economies because of the high Euro exchange rate. Hitting the sensitive, hardly competitive French econonomy in particular. A pledge seconded by monetary piggyback riding on the resources of the worldwide competitive German economy. At the same time knowing, should his pledge be rewarded, boosting a looming currency war with additional highly explosive, unstable ingredients from an EUro-land in political, financial and economical turmoil.

By the way, a biased pledge by a Head of State, equipped with political powers, pledging in the European Parliament. Other countries have to do with their Prime Ministers. Both Hollande and the Parliament not allowed to mingle in the monetary politics of the ECB.

The logic of it difficult to explain to Simplified and Enhanced, Resilient EUro-land citizens, supposed to participate in ‘to build a vision of how the EU should be in 2020.‘  As it is also impossible to explain the logic how ‘two of a kind’, ‘2+2’, or ‘2*2′ can end up anywhere between 2 and 22. Be it a multiplicator in financial markets or even a seat number 22. The latter, however, in this case occupied by Barroso, who not so long ago linked the Greek debt crisis to the post World War 2 Marshall aid, undoubtedly informed about Hollande’s intentions:

Amidst political, financial and economic turmoil, meanwhile lasting about half a decade in vulnerable EUro-land with 11 currencies to speculate with -Wow!-, joining a monetary downhill race between manipulated dominating valuta’s creating billions, billions and billions of fictional euro’s.

A  ‘High five’ for the creditability of  EUro-land.

EU and ‘our’ €, ‘unity in diversity’, without polish no shine

Too many Chiefs, not enough “enhanced and resilient” Indians

The present policy-driven, or in other words, a rather forced integration of Europe is the work of fools. Just name one example of an imposed, forced community that has survived history. There is not, for they all came down. How often do politicians really have to make the same mistakes before finally drawing a lesson from it?

In order to develop from small tribal communities into to large modern state structures, humanity needed tens of thousands of years and it took a long time for just a few steps ahead. The latter nowadays still happening in many states. A process wich even Europe has not left behind itself.

But even in modern states, those who want a collaborative push for some sort of, mainly economical, ‘enhanced and resilient’ federalization of a part of Europe by means of political force, are in the end achieving nothing but a lot of damage. Because where law, reason and citizens will be completely replaced by an ideology, flanked by rhetorics, failure is almost inevitable. The recent fuss about Cameron’s speech is only an indicative tip of the iceberg. As is ‘2013 – Year of the European Citizen’.

Nevertheless, people can survive. And shine also. Not only because they can  overcome the euro crises, the financial crisis, the political crisis, the banking crisis, the debt crisis, the housing crisis, they could and can overcome warfare, a looming inflation crisis, the climate crisis, the energy crisis, an upcoming food crisis, an unemployment crisis, a possible wide spread social welfare crisis. And so on. All of which is hitting citizens in their normal daily life’s.

No, at the end it is not about this at all.

At the end it is all about the strong feeling of -and trust by citizens that they can overcome gloomy suspicions not to survive at all in the future. Shining again, without respect for what sort of ideological polish is forced upon them by too many shining Chiefs convening in Brussel, Strassbourg, Frankfurt and Luxembourg.
